Another amazing destination which you can visit near the city of Tumkur is the deer sanctuary known by the name of Namadha Chilume. There is a natural spring which emerges from the middle of the rock. There is mention of this place in the Hindu Epic Ramayana. It is a beautiful natural spring and is believed that Ram along with his wife Sita and brother Laxman stayed here. The place is a must visit destination in Tumkur and is around 14 km from the main city.
